What Boston Sites are interesitng to visit while there?

I’m planning a trip to go to Boston this summer; however, I want to know a few places that are interesting to visit while there. A couple of places that I’m going to are: Fenway park and of course the bar Cheers. What other places are there in the city that can make my experience in Boston exciting?

don’t waste your time @ cheers.

Go through the North End for sure aka Bostons little Italy. You’ll find an amazing meal in there.

do a duck tour, they give you a lot of fun, interesting facts and they not only drive through the city but down into the Charles River as well.

Go into Faneuil Hall, that’s the biggest tourist spot, it’s right by the North End. Tons of shops, outside entertainers, restaurants etc. Fenway area is fun but BUSY as hell on game nights.

Newbury Street is the nicest street of shoppes in the city.

Boston commons is a giant park, they have swan boat rides down there. Really pretty in the summer and that is the heart of the city!

You should go on the duck tour its really cool and some guys let you drive the boat through the bay. Go to Fenual Hall too. Go to the boston common too. Its basically just a big park, but when I went there there was cool people in there.

Ugh, what is it with tourists and Cheers? You know they didn’t really film it there, right? And the Bull and Finch, which was its real name, didn’t even look like the bar on the show… they renovated it after the show was over. It’s a lame, tacky, tourist trap, so don’t bother.
Now then, here’s what you should bother with: Fenway for sure, that will be awesome. My favorite restaurant is right nearby- Eastern Standard. Check that out for amazing food and an awesome bar. Walk through the Common and the Public Gardens, and go up Beacon Hill for some really good “classic Boston” pictures. Check out Back Bay and grab some lunch at a cafe on Newbury Street (Trident is everyone’s favorite). Take a Duck Tour. Cross over the Charles and explore Harvard Square, it’s one of the coolest places you’ll ever see. Go to the North End for great Italian food, but DO NOT go to Mike’s bakery for your cannolis- Modern Pastry is better and the lines are shorter. Go to the MFA (they’re opening a new wing really soon) AND the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum- both are awesome. Get some fish, even just from Legal. It’s so fresh and so good here. If you have time, take a ferry to the North Shore to see classic new england seaside towns without the lengthy trip to the Cape. Buy a Red Sox hat, and wear it proudly. Have fun!

Museums, lots of Museums: The MFA (art) Isabella Stuart Gardner (art) ICA (art) The Aquarium, The Science Museum, Harvard and MIT museums, not to mention all the Historical sites; sites along the Freedom Trail, John Adams House

Check listings for concerts, plays and other events

Visit the Harbor Islands, Whale watch, Blue Hills State reservation

shopping, lots of shopping in Quincy Market, Newbury Street or Harvard Square in Cambridge, also visit the insanely overpriced Copley Place Mall

    Duck tours

Go to the top of the Prudential Tower for a great view

*Cheers, the Bull and Finch Pub, is nothing spectacular, just an overpriced pub.

If you are a sports fan, you will have fun at Fenway Park
