Their cousin sects from the same source are the Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Christadelphians, Disciples of Christ and Church of Christ, etc. The got a lot of attention many years ago when one of their leaders David Koresh and his followers were killed by an illegal government attack on their religious compound. As with their cousin sects they believe they are a restored church which claims that Jesus lied when He said that His Church would never fall into apostasy and would endure until the end of time. My maternal great grandparents were SDA and while they were very devout they were very wrong. The root of their errors is the false prophet that they venerate called Ellen G. White. I like their Sabbath School lesson discussion. The interactive discussion and insight and experience sharing is very encouraging and built friendship. I could not find these type of interaction in other churches weekly. Above all I like their music, it is reverence and heartwarming and touching. It always make me have tears of joy when I hear them sing and singing with them. I love the potluck after church where you could sociallize with decent caring people. It is good for my souls.
