How is you can have higher amps then volts?

June 9th, 2010 by admin | 5 Comments | Filed in Asnwers

It seems counter-intuitive to have a flow geater then your pressure. I always assumed that when you make a super conductor your volts would equal your amps as you have 0 resistance. But from what I calculated the only way to get higher amps then volts is to have fractional resistance which doesnt make much sence to me.

Will putting higher ah batteries in an electric scooter damage it?

May 19th, 2010 by admin | 2 Comments | Filed in Asnwers

I am modifying a schwinn S-1000 electric scooter, so the manuel will not help me decide.
It runs off 36v, and that’s all that matters, the amp hour rating doesn’t mean anything.
Doing this will lengthen the range but also the charge time.
Im planning on keeping the 36v, but changing it from 10ah to 12 or 14ah.
Any advice?

Where can I get that plastic thing that covers a tub’s overflow drain so I can fill the tub higher?

May 17th, 2010 by admin | 1 Comment | Filed in Asnwers

I saw this thing in a catalog years ago and have never seen it since. What is it called? Where can I get it? It was a translucent plastic “cup” which you fit over the bathtub’s overflow drain (the round thing under the spigot, where the drain-stopper switch is also usually located) which has openings at the top. This way, when the water level rises, it gets higher than is usually allowed, and then when it gets to the TOP it pours in and then through the little overflow drain. Can anyone help me? I need one! My life will be empty until I find it again.

I’ll probably get a job this year. Should I donate my stuff to get a tax deduction or should I give it to a relative who has a full time job so they can deduct it from their taxes? Who will benefit more?

Why does H2 have a higher boiling point than He?

May 17th, 2010 by admin | 1 Comment | Filed in Asnwers

What type of bonding does H2 have that makes it higher than He? I thought they both had dispersion but that He had stronger dispersion forces because of higher electronegativity but that is apparently not the case

When a certain material is illuminated with visible light, electrons jump from lower to higher energy states?

May 16th, 2010 by admin | 4 Comments | Filed in Asnwers

When a certain material is illuminated with visible light, electrons jump from lower to higher energy states in atoms of the material. When illuminated by ultraviolet light, atoms are ionized as some of them eject electrons. Why do the two kinds of illumination produce such different results?

What will you do when a loaf of bread and a gallon of gasoline costs $15? Are you prepared for higher prices?

May 16th, 2010 by admin | 6 Comments | Filed in Asnwers

Inflation and hyperinflation is up ahead. Due to the housing crisis, the Fed is forced to (and will continue to be forced to) bail out banks and mortgage lenders and other financial institutions. This will flood the economy with ‘easy’ money, and will cause inflation of prices in essential goods such as food and energy, and anything that needs energy to produce and transport.

When did the military start to require higher Qual’s for someone to become a pilot?

May 16th, 2010 by admin | 3 Comments | Filed in Asnwers

When I joined the navy years ago, all the old WWII pilots and some Vietnam Cargo pilots at the local hanger asked why I was fixin them and not flyin them.
The only qualification these guys had when they enlisted, was a desire to become a pilot. Next thing you know theyre flyin a p38 or in NAM a big multi engine transport.
When did the selection process become like it is today, very difficult?
