Will champagne that is stored for a long time in heat explode?

June 9th, 2010 by admin | 4 Comments | Filed in Asnwers

I am planning a long road trip across country, and I will be bringing some champagne. There will be long periods of time when the car will be left outside and will heat up to at least 120 F, it is the US summer after all. What I need to know is if champagne is stored for to long like this, will to much pressure build up and it could shatter the glass bottle it is in?

How long do you think it will need to be stored to explode if at all?
Thank you.
Can someone give me a bit more educated answer…

How many electrons will be stored in the capacitor? How much energy is stored in the capacitor?

May 16th, 2010 by admin | 1 Comment | Filed in Asnwers

A man decides that he and his wife will design a 10^3 kg car that is powered by a capacitor. The capacitrance will be 10^3 F and it will be charged to 100 volts.

A) How many electrons will be stored in the capacitor?
B) How much energy is stored in the capacitor? Does this seem sufficient for an automobile?

Which can be stored longer without spoiling – raw chicken or cooked chicken?

May 16th, 2010 by admin | 5 Comments | Filed in Asnwers

This is about boneless chicken breasts. I like chicken, but I don’t like going to the store often to get it. So I usually vacuum seal it in a bag. But I was just wondering, which would last longer – storing it cooked or uncooked in the refrigerator? If storing it cooked, how should it be stored? You should let it cool but where and for how long before sealing it up?

Also, if you have an idea of how long each would last in the fridge without going bad, that would help too. Thanks.
